Those tiny mealworms are really tiny!  You have a chance of having some 
if your oolony has "bolted" (to use a gardening term, sometimes applied 
to aging lettuce) and produced beetles, and if the beetles have been in 
there for awhile, you probably have very young larvae ("worms").  To 
find them, shake the medium from side to side to level it (mine is 
usually bran) and then watch for almost imperceptible heavings as they 
start to move after being disturbed.
