The easiest and cheapest is to get those new fancy screen lids that hagen
has with the doors in them. Flip the tank on its side and using either
aquarium sealant or just jam it in-if you measure well it works- a 1"-2" pc
of wood along the new bottom-old top lip of the tank to stop the substrate
from falling out.Put the fancy lid on adjust your heating to the new bottom
and hang/clip/fasten  the light in front and set them back up. This gives
them more floor space but not as much height. If the tank is at waist height
or higher they will be happy.

and openings on top for lights etc. mb
