I got a good look at Roxy just now and she's grown! She's longer and bigger
around. She must be eating well, but I can see that she needs a lot of
calcium to support that kind of growth. I haven't been dusting the
mealworms for a while because it seems like a waste of time, but she does
have a jar top with some 2:0 calcium powder and vitamin powder in it. I
guess I'll have to try to gut-load the crickets with some of that stuff.
Maybe carrot slices dipped in the stuff. I bought some wheat germ for the
crickets too. I heard someone mention something like corn starch too, but I
passed that one up. Someone else mentioned chicken feed, and Fluker's sells
cricket feed.
I'm so happy when I think Roxy is in good shape and normal - I feel like I'm
doing a good job :)
