Hi Neil,
Bed-a-beast has worked fine for me.  My leopards lay their eggs in the hide
boxes and I've never had a problem, even when I don't get the eggs moved to
the incubator right away.  I incubate them on vermiculite.  It's hard to
screw up a fertilized Eublepharis egg.  I've even managed to successfully
hatch an egg that was laid in a water dish.
