[Gecko] male or female?

I have a leo that is about 9 months old. It was sold to me as a female but I don't know. I have a couple of books that show the preanal pores for males and I have seen a male that realy resembles those pictures. But my "female" seems to have them if you look realy close. And as for the bulges at the base of the tale, there seems to be slight bumps but nothing like the male I once saw. Is there any other things I could do to be sure what sex they are? If I put her with a male and "she" is actualy a male, how long before the would fight? Thanks, T.D.
