If you don't want to buy both the thickened and the ordinary acrylic
cement, you can make the former from the latter by dissolving some
scraps of acrylic in it. I believe the fluid is methylene chloride.
Btw, most large cities have numerous plastics suppliers, including those
that are happy to sell retail to the general public. You can often get
enough 'scrap' to build what you want much more cheaply than buying full
sheets. Check your Yellow Pages.
