Hello Lyle,
The Teratoscincus scincus I have from Turkmenistan have, on several occasions,
thrown their tails across their cage without anything touching them.
They just start shaking and zing... off it goes. I have to qualify
this by mentioning that this only happens in individuals with regrown
tails to begin with. I've never seen it in the T. scincus from
Pakistan.
