Hello Troy,
You are probably refering to cryptosporidiosis. This coccidian
parasite is quite dangerous because of its direct lifecycle and a
failure to respond to conventional treatments. It also has the
potential to infect humans.
You shouldn't worry about attending the show. You or your leopard
geckos can't catch it unless you are handling animal waste or
contaminated water. Quarantine any new purchases and have several
fecals done. Wash your hands. Use common sense. I hope this helps.
