I've never had the crocodile skink, but I did read the article in Reptiles on
them, and have seen some setups.
The coconunt husk pile would be great. They also live in rotting logs (Bert
Langerwerf) The Dallas zoo maintained them in very simple setups. A big
sweater box tilted and filled with water in the lower bottom section (remeber
it is tilted). Then 2 smaller sweater boxes filled with potting soil (I
think, maybe sphagnum.) Whatever it was, it was moist earth. These were
covered partially with corkbark. They bred in these conditions. 1 egg and
another is laid when the first is going to hatch. Very pretty animals. I
still think about getting some. Very shy seems to be the case for all. And
prepuscular.
