for a shed box I have used a large plastic jar with an opening big enough
to get in and out. I put a wash clothe soaked in hot water in it. The I
place it in whatever part of the tank the leo likes best. I have found
mine won't use a wet hide if it is not where they want to be. I think it
is a good idea to separate them. I have heard that if their are too few
females the male can pester the female until she loses weight.
