...for me, but this time it's not with crested
geckos. A slight intro...
Back in October 2000 I attended the NM reptile Expo
in Albuquerque as a vendor with my boss. At a previous expo I had the
great pleasure of meeting our listserve's truly, Greg and Leann
Christenson. I had been to there site and fell in love with P. laticauda
angularis. Anyway, to make a long story short I purchased a F2 Generation
of P. l. angularis from Greg and Leann back in Oct. '00. They are housed
in a model 15 Lizard Lounge (reptile cage made by Oceanic Systems) fully planted
with a pothos and some dark broad leafed plant called draco-something. I
RARELY see either the male or female out. Well, about 15 minutes ago I had
gome upstairs to go to bed. I was setting my alarm which is next to their
cage. Something caught my eye. You got it, Generation F3.
Sitting happily on a pothos leaf was a hatchling. The fun part will be
catching it and setting up a tank for it. Unfortunately I am completely
unprepared (like I stated, I rarely see the male or female out) for this.
The hatchling is TINY and I suppose I need to get some pinheads in and very
soon. Anyway, just figured I'd share this. Has me really
stoked.
Later,
Chris Newsom
Many thanks Greg and
Leann
