Funny I should mention the research of Brian Viets again just after writing about
his findings on optimum breeding combos! He did a very nice study on leo coloration
and temps. I saw him present this at the IGS conference in Palm Springs, CA in '93
if I remember right. He had nice slides showing the higher the incubation temp, the
less the melanin. He lined the gex up side by side incubated at lower to higher
temps, and the higher the temps the lighter the gex. It was easy to see the effects
of the temps with the gex lined up like that. If you can find a copy of that
proceedings, it is well worth having.
