That's a good idea; I never thought of using jars (just been using critter
keepers). I raise mine individually too - I did try a trio ranging from a
sibling pair to one that was one month older; nobody lost any tails, but the
little guys never had a fighting chance at the crickets: even slightly older
ones can be very domineering.
