Cassie, I can't tell from your postings how experienced you are, but
if you are new to geckos, you might want to start with captive bred
animals of species that are known to be easy to care for. It can be
hard to tell when an animal is sick or stressed until it is too late
to do anything to save it even for experienced people, and wild-caught
animals are often in poor health to begin with due to the stress of
capture and shipping, and the poor conditions at the facilities of
collectors and wholesalers.
If you start with captive bred geckos that you get from a breeder not
only will they be much less likely to be sick, parasitised or stressed,
but they will be used to captive conditions, and you can get good advice
from the person you buy them from.
