I believe that these ahem! legal WC cepediana are supposedly from Comoros
and Mauritius. Some are entering the US as CB. But- I think the legality of
any WC phelsuma in the US is questionable at best.
But remeber also-- A cities listing does not prohibit trade in that animal.
It only requires permits from the exporting country and an importers permit
or whatever your country requires for import. So each member nation can issue
export permits at will. It stands to reason some countries raise cash this
way. Some simply decide that the wild population is healthy enough to allow
some harvesting.
