I received some U. ebenaui last night, and they definitely can run! I've seen
U. lineatus move very fast when startled. I frightened one when moving vivaria
around. Maybe it saw a shadow and thought it was a predator, in any case, he
did a lap around his enclosure at lightening speed. Most Uroplatus 
don't normally run,
but I Imagine they have the ability, unless there's a technical 
difference between
walking very fast and running in geckos.
