Sorry for the multiple posts to those of you who are on more than one
list...

I am going through a hassle with a chameleon shipment at this moment. It
apparently got hung up in Denver due to the snow they've had the last
couple days, but should be on it's way now. Hopefully, it will be OK.

Anyway, while dealing with the USPS Express expediter, she mentioned
that USPS and FedEx will be joining into a partnership, starting in
August. FedEx will begin transporting a lot of USPS mail. The problem is
FedEx will not accept live shipments at all. That means the USPS will
have to handle them only on their own planes and the limited commercial
flights they can utilize. The implication is that their ability to
handle live shipments will be reduced (according to the lady I was
talking to). They are working on a centralized live shipment handling
process. Anyone wishing to make a live shipment will have to call them
before they ship and make a reservation. It will be first come, first
served. She was just giving me a heads up and telling me to investigate
other options. I just wish there were more viable options available!!!
