Yesterday evening I saw for the first time in my 5 years off breeding T.s.
keyserlingi, two animals off this specie mating with each other.
When I take a closer look at it, I couldn't believe my eyes. It wasn't a
'normal' mating (male with female) but a female to female mating!

The mating was done at the normal manner for Teratoscincus, in contradictive
that there was no sign off an hemipenes and it takes twenty seconds.

An hour later I saw the male mate with the female who was first 'taken' by
the other female.

Is it possible that the female, which was ready to bread, made 'something
wake up in the other female' (like with cows) or has it something to do with
dominance?

Let me read your thoughts about it

regards,
Nils
