I really have no idea where her red colour came from. Her father is non-descript
brown, nothing special, not even reddish brown. Her mom is a deep brown, but
again, no red tinge. Grandparents, brothers and sisters are all brown or dull
beige or tan, not one of them has any hint of red. Along comes Red Ridinghood..
.. That's why I'm really curious how they decide what colour they're going to
be. She's normally red in the evening, but when she's being courted or getting
ready to lay eggs she's vibrant red. Unless the prickly pear and squash (her
favourites) can affect red, then I'm stumped. Her daytime colour is brown....
but a clearly visible red tinge.
