The common name for C. switaki is the Barefoot Banded
Gecko. C. switai gypsicolus is called the Isla San
Marcos barefoot gecko. C. switaki was first found in
Oct. of 1974 in Baja California/Mexico I think. There
was an article that included the finding in the August
1999 REPTILES on page 32 called "1,000 Miles of Baja:
A trip for the History Books". Very nice article, I
love reading it.
