Possibly, but I don't think that is what this T. fasciata is experiencing. Do you
recall the population explosion of these geckos a few years ago? The last couple
years I have hardly seen them at reptile shows. Females were overbred and died
prematurely. They went hypocalcemic and died before most folks knew what was going
on. The earlier post with the paralysis is typical of hypocalcemia in later
stages.
My tip for folks breeding these geckos is to cool them in the winter, otherwise
the females will just lay themselves out.
