Dear Julie,

I would be very surprised if there is an undescribed Phelsuma v-nigra subsp.
Some P.v.pasteuri-s do not have a blue spot in the neck, and I have seen
some entirely blue females! The animals from Anjouan (P.v.anjouanensis) are
very bluish too. I have been on all four Comoro Islands + satellite islands
and on Anjouan we found one animal that looked like a hybrid between
P.robertmertensi and P.v.nigra. Which is impossible as P.robertmertensi only
occurs on Mayotte. So I would really like to see yours.

Emmanuel
