Cassie, you need a good top for your cage.  Leos can climb quite well.
They can stand almost vertically, and seem to be able to climb onto
anything they can get their front toes onto.  They can also squeeze
through openings much smaller than you'd expect.  Like most reptiles,
the skull bones aren't fused so their heads are flexible.  I've seen
a 20g leo stand on her hind legs on top of her humidity box, bend over
slightly backwards, grab hold of the 1/2" mesh panel on top of her cage
and worm her at-least-3/4" wide head and the rest of her body through
and out!
