Hi,
That episode of The Nature Nut was partly filmed at my house. The host,
John Acorn, is a member of the local herp society here in Edmonton. It was
filmed in Jan 2000 and first aired here in May 2000. It has re-aired
numerous times since in Canada on the CTV (1 of Canada's national networks)
and the Canadian version of the Discovery Channel. I still have people
coming up to me saying they just saw me on The Nature Nut. It always
confuses me since it was filmed so long ago (my leachie still fit on the
end of thumb!) that I had forgotten about it.
"The Nature Nut" has a lot of reptile and amphibian themed shows. He has a
bit of a cult following with kids here in Canada (especially in Alberta).
He is a active supporter of the local society and often comes to our shows
if his schedule permits to talk to and sign autographs for the kids.
