The first of my 7 P. androyensis eggs are hatching. 1
hatched yesterday w/ an orange/yellow tail, one this
morning w/ an orange tail and one today w/ a brighter
orange tail. They are so cute, and SO puny! I have 4
more eggs to go, but I think 1 is infertile.

I'm curious as to why their tails would be so bright?
They're only 1" in total length, and as thick as the
middle of a q-tip. I would think they're tails would
only attract predators (ie: other Paroedura,
Uroplatus, small birds, small snakes like Stenophus
(sp?) species, etc). The only thing they could eat are
fruit flies, pin head crickets and ants, and I don't
think the color of the tail would attract any of
these. Any clues? Anyhow, wish me luck and I'll try to
get some pics when I can.
