Josh,
        In turtle circles it is assumed that a live snail can have enough
chemical residue to kill a turtle. I still feed snails to my box turtles.
I collect them at the local creeks and parks. The SLO parks dept is
fortunately to cost conscience to spray parks. Fresh water snails are an
intermediate host for liver flukes, I don't use them. I don't know about
salt water snails. But it isn't logical to me to feed a gecko something
it would never eat in the wild.
