not really. I occasionally mist one end. But I dont soak the whole thing.

so far. I did drown one a couple weeks ago though. Yes, Im clearly an
idiot! One hatched and was having a small piece of shed skin stuck on its
tail. I put him on a rock in a deli cup, misted him and didnt pay attention
for an hour or so. He lept off the rock onto the bottom of the closed cup
and was lying in the bottom. There was a thin film of water, about 1/23 of
an inch.....not good.

anytime, and yes they can be. The rest in the clay pots, broken clay pots
that is. If I offer insects during the day, and I do sometimes, they will
run out and feed. Otherwise though they stay hidden.
