If this is a regular behavior, you have some work to do on your
terrarium set-up. Trying to get out is an indication the gecko is not
comfortable in your environment. As Brad suggested, it is best to have a
number of hiding places and things to climb on. See the "Leopard Gecko
Manual" for some good tips on terrarium set-up.
