Depends on a lot of things, size of set-up, the hatchlings themselves. Bill
Love observed them in the wild ony in pairs, so I think they will get testy as

Because these hard-type calicified eggs have a very low limit on how much water
they can absorb. We are finding out that they don't need much moisture at all
to hatch properly, so putting them on vermiculite is waaaay overboard in the
moisture dept. The embryo may drown inside there in that moisture heavy
circumstance. No book on Phelsuma will ever tell you to put them directly on
vermiculite.
