Cyndy,

Actually, Septra (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) and Albon ( sulfadimethoxine) are both sulfa drugs.  I've noticed that some reptile vets have been prescribing the former in recent years, and I was wondering how effective this drug is against coccidia.  Yes, this is an antibiotic, but it also covers some protozoans.  I know Albon is the drug of choice for this protozoan.

Septra is an antibiotic. I wouldn't think it would kill cocci at all.

Is Septra as effective as Albon in treating Coccidiosis?  This is also a test e-mail to make sure that I can post.
