Hi All-
Tho I'm still in Florida, I have internet access and I couldn't wait to fill
everyone in on the great time had by all at geckonight.
The lectures were all well done, and I especially loved the two Phlesuma
talks given by Magnus Forsburg and Emanuel Van Hagen. Some great items were
donated to be raffled off, and I won two reptisun bulbs! Books, lamps, and
others prizes were given away also.
Greg and Leann C, along with John Rudge, Lyle and Neil Meister all did a
great job putting the evening together and lending their time and efforts
Friday night. There were lots of others working also, forgive me, I didn't
get their names.
The show had lots of nice geckos. Julie was there, Doug Barr and others also
had some nice CB geckos.
Strictly Reptiles had a vast array of so called CB phelsuma - cepediana, in
two forms, guimbeaui, ornata, lineata, and quadriocellata. These looked
obviously Wild Caught, but surprisingly were very fit animals. I bought a
female guimbeaui from strictly, and a CB guimbeaui from Barrs.
Sorry I can't report on others types of geckos, I didn't have much time,
since I borrowed my brothers truck and had to return it. I even missed the
gecko dinner.
There were lots of animals, and way too many snakes- but it was a good show
and a great Geckonight. Thanks again GGA!
Jason
