Hi Noelia,

I saw that you posted a few days ago about having two skinny leopard gecko babies and what vitamins one uses to remedy this (there's a lot more to it than that). If you are just starting out, then you may want to raise them up and see if you indeed are interested in starting a breeding program. It sounds like they may not be healthy if they are skinnier than they are supposed to be, in that case you have a veterinary visit you need to schedule. There is much involved in committing to a breeding program, including possible large vet bills. The less experience you have with geckos, the greater the chance of this occuring. You post below sounds like you are interested in breeding more than just a few, thus my cautionary comments.

Your post also sounds like a beginner post in that price is your major concern.  Quality should be first, and price somewhere down on the list. If you go for price only, then you will likely end up with a bunch of unhealthy leopards and you stand an even greater chance of having a big vet bill, thus defeating the original goal of not spending money in the first place. My money is also on cheap.leopardgeckocom not supporting you once you discover the problems involved in buying the cheapest available breeding stock. I know a few folks on here that may be willing to share their experiences concerning this. Once you do have some experience with a small # of leopards, then find out who is recommended as a quality breeder and you'll get the healthy geckos and breeder support your geckos and you deserve.

Right now the best thing for your present geckos and breeder hopes is research, both on the internet with groups like this and obtaining the appropriate books. The Leopard Gecko Manual and Lyle Puente's Leopard gecko book are great to start with. Our own Tony Gamble has a Leopard Gecko article bibliography that is available from the GGA (Global Gecko Association) bookstore at http://www.gekkota.com .
