I haven't read anything about this petition on this list, so I thought I'd post the URL to it. I found it on the kingsnake.com leopard gecko forum. One interesting thing is that in the explanation of the petition it says that the U.S. pet industry is a $2 billion per year industry. I would think that figure would be encouraging, as it would be economically preferable for the government to protect the pet industry.
