Hello,
Seems that the poultry industry has taken the bull by the horns and
taken the necessary steps to fix the USPS problem. This website has an
overview of the problem and their proposed solution:
http://birdshippers.com/
Senators Grassley (R-Iowa) and Feingold (D-Wisconsin) have introduced
bill S.1397 that would force USPS to accept all allowable live
shipments regardless of any restrictions that their contracted
carriers may have. A copy of the bill is here:
http://birdshippers.com/bill.html
This bill was introduced on 9/4/2001. On 9/10/2001 it was referred to
the Subcommittee on International Security, Proliferation and
Federal Services. Members of this committee can be found at:

If one of your senators is on this list... CONTACT THEM!
This bill will ensure that we will, once again, be able to ship
lizards, frogs, salamanders, etc... via USPS.
