Hi Folks,
Just returned home after visiting my Seattle UPS Customer Service Center. Immediately my questions on in-flight temperature and pressurization got to a supervisor who found out that the cargo area on UPS planes is pressurized, but NOT heated. The only heated space is the crews' quarters. He informed me that the temps on UPS flights in the cargo hold might be + 32 F, way too cold for my needs :-[
This UPS fellow was extremely helpful and said he would contact me by the end of the week with any further info. He said that one customer frequently ships turtles with them, and that another ships frogs.
Yet some folks have reported UPS success stories lately.
Prices seem equivalent to Delta Dash.
Peace,
Elizabeth
