Title: USPS
I just saw a web site that said the USPS ban on accepting live shipments is because of the 11 Sept events.  Am I wrong or wasn't this ban on live stuff happening before that date?  Isn't it a result of USPS contracting out express mail to other providers... and not due to any FAA guideline changes?  I mean... it's not like banning boxes of live geckos will prevent hijackings.  But hiring some other company to handle the express mail might save the USPS some cash.

Somebody really needs to start a company like FedEx that specializes in live deliveries.  Not just herps, but also orchids and things like that.  It will be in even more demand once those electron beam sterilizers go into every mail sorting facility in the U.S.  I can only imagine what that level of radiation does to tomato seeds, sour dough cultures, yeast, yogurt or live crickets.  and what about those companies who provide non-lethal bacteria for research and education... they'll need a way to ship too.
