If you recall a post from a few days ago, I had mailed a frog and some salamanders last Tuesday, using USPO Express Mail. They finally got there late Saturday night!, after being 'lost' on a flight.
Evidently, yes, they did get on a plane in Connecticut - but never got off [the box was overlooked, or whatever]. That plane then made two more stops before they realized the package was still on there. Fortunately, everybody's fine - it's probably my own darn fault for responding to a post with, "I've had good luck with...." I jinxed myself. I do have to give the post office this much credit though, they realized at almost 2 am that they had them, and got them to the recipient by 10 am. And I also have to say - I don't even know how many calls I made in this: but everyone I spoke to was very nice, helpful and most of all, apologetic. Fortunately, the weather played in my favor - had this been summer, I don't think it would've had such a happy ending......
