Hi Listers,

Juri asked if there will be any presentations in english
this year on the meeting of the IG-Phelsuma - I will answer
(in addition to Magnus?), as I am among this years speakers:

Up to now we had too few foreign visitors (that are not able
to understand german) to make a translation / synchronisation
(like it is practiced at the "International Gecko Meeting"
every year) worthwhile, but I am sure that we could and would
do so - if enough guests announce themselves with the wish for
an english-held lecture. And this would have to be planned in
advance, as a double-language-presentation will take up more
time than a single-language one ... so tell me / us if you
really would like to come, if the program was at least partly
held in english. If enough show interest, I can try to raise
that topic this year - to make it possible for next year.

Julie asked if this is an annual event - yes, usually it
takes place on one of the last weekends in October, and up to
now the town Gttingen, which is located in northern Germany
about an hours ride from Hannover, has been the meeting
point of choice and will probably be next years, too.

By the way - we are considering to translate at least the main
part of our webpages into english, so that more people can
partage in our members knowlegde - but this will take time.
But you are welcome to raise Phelsuma-related discussions and
questions in our message-bord in english at:
http://www.ig-phelsuma.de/forum/index.html

Hoping to see (maybe some of) you in Gttingen -

Hartmut
