Hi gang,
I have a female Uroplatus sikkorae which is shedding, but it's taking a bit too long. It's been about four days since I first noticed it, and she still has quite a bit of skin attached. Additionally, she doesn't seem the least bit interested in pulling it off herself, like my leo's do.I pulled some of the skin off that I could easily get to. She has good lighting, and I mist the tank down at least twice a day, so it's pretty humid in there. Calcium/mineral definciency?? Other thoughts? Should I give her a tupperware "sauna" party with warm water and then peel it all of? Thanks in advance for your help! Makes a nice percussion instrument, but has anyone else > seen this?? No! That's wild. Is it both of them, or just the female [maybe she thinks it's a dud egg, and wants to eat it???] Then again, I've only seen gold dust's eat their own [dud] eggs.
