Matthew,

Briefly, a 30 gallon will work for a baby bearded dragon, but you will
have to get a much bigger enclore after the dragon is 6-8 months old. My
adult dragons are housed in a 5 foot by 2 foot by 2 foot enclosure.
However, before getting a bearded you should read up on their
requirements, they are a bit more demanding than leopard geckos. A good
place to start online is the kingsnake.com Bearded Dragon Forum located
at http://www.kingsnake.com/forum/beard

best,

Anne

Hi,

I have recently lost my baby leapord gecko due to impaction. I was
planning on getting a bearded dragon instead and wondered if anybody on
this newsgroup would know anything about them. If anyone does would it
be alright to house a single bearded dragon in a 30 gallon tank. The
measurements are 30"long,17"high, and 17" wide.
 Thanks.
