Hey Dan, I usually use a little white vinegar to get rid of the hard-water spotting. I can't imagine vinegar would be toxic since it is used in cooking, but just for good measure, and to eliminate the odor, I usually go over that with some RO or distilled water. (which in theory should not leave any spots or streaks at all) Neal
