Hello Mario,
Obviously leopard geckos need an adequate supply of calcium (in the
proper ratio to phosphorus, with some access to D3, etc...) to stay
healthy. Many leopard gecko keepers (myself included) prefer to use
calcium supplementation with D3 on a regular basis. I've used both
Repcal and Minerall with D3 since they came out in the early/mid 90's
and have been very happy with the results. If you provide a shallow
dish of your calcium supplement in the cage, most leopard geckos will
eat it as they feel necessary. This method reduces (but does not
eliminate) the risk of over or under supplementing your gecko.
I hope this helps.
