The list of Puerto Rican geckos is rather long. I know there are Sphaerodactylus,
possibly Gonatodes, and some other Sphaerodactylines. In the drier areas you could
look for Phyllodactylus. In and around houses and hotels you might see some
Hemidactylus and Aristelliger. One think to definetly look for and photograph is the
anoles, some of the Caribbean ones are among the most beautiful lizards in the world,
except for geckos of course. I suggest a field guide possibly look at www.herplit.com.
Authors include Schwartz and Henderson 1991 Amphibians and Reptiles of the West Indies
(this one doesn't have pictures or keys). I know that there are other ones, some with
pictures.
