Hi-
I have been following this story and it started when the challenger won the
election but refused to yield his office. He made accusations of voting
impropriety and wanted a runoff. The newly elected winner ignored this, and
appointed a new cabinet. The old governments efforts were useless when the
military refused to get involved.
The masses then helped seat the new govt. So for now, all seems well.

What I'd really like to know more about is the alleged al Qaeda and radical
Muslim influence on the island of Mauritius. It has been reported that the
govt there has harbored terrorists and served as a conduit for arms traffic.
Does anyone know of this? Any listers in Mauritius that could tell us about
it?. And to stay on topic, how it might affect exports?
Jason
