I have an experience to share. I have a Fat Tailed gecko that I rescued, he will not
feed on his own. I started out trying to force feed him by prying his mouth open. It
wasn't fun for either of us, I got bitten several times. Some one (sorry, I can't
remember who)explained that if you squirt some of the mushy food on one of the lizards
nostrils it will start licking it off. Then you can continue dripping the food as the
lizard licks. My gecko will now lick for a while and then grab the syringe and let me
squirt some directly into his mouth. I found an *oral irrigation* syringe with a
curved tip works best. I cut part of the tip off to make the hole bigger. That makes
the food squirt out more easily.
