i have found that when keeping leo's without a
humid hidebox they have this problem. before i was breeding them i never had a
humid hide box, and my gecko had problems. as soon as i got some females in
there and put in a humid hide box (for egg laying) there were no problems. a
gladware container with 1:1 ratio of water and vermiculite/spagnum moss works
well. as for now i would suggest soaking her every other day (but if shes get to
stressed i would stop).

Subject: [Gecko] Leo is losing
toes...
Hey all,
First, I want to thank all on
this board for your help with my previous problems. Being a beginning
herp owner, your knowledge is very useful to me and I appreciate it.
Now that my leo is eating and
now fat, she is having shedding problems. She'll leaves skin on her toes
and she has lost two already. I had paper towels in her hide box, but I
traded them for a good supply of spagnum moss. I keep this moist at all
times. Is there anything else I can do? I also put her in a
tupperware for 5 minutes with a little water to help loosen the skin,
but she didn't pull off that skin and I couldn't get it off for her. Is
there anything else I can do to prevent this? Thanks in
advance.
