Greetings everyone. Has anyone observed males protecting eggs in this genus?
I ask because my United Arab Emirates species laid a clutch last night, and when I found them, the male was coiled around them as was reluctant to move. No aggression was observed. This is not the first time I have seen this in this species. If you followed my past posts on this species, you'll recall this is a "gluer." However, I did not provide them with a suitable spot to glue this time to make artificial incubation easier. When they lack a hollow spot, they lay in a shallow nest (1/2 submerged, glued together) under some cork bark.
Let me know what you all think.
