I have read that it could be linked to problems with vitamin supplementation
possibly from a lack of calcium that makes the skin brittle and flaky. I am not
too sure of that though. I think your best bet in preventing this would be to
raise the moisture a little and add some cork bark if you don't already have
some in order to provide a rough surface for them to climb and rub the skin off.
I don't have any grandis, but if any of my phelsuma have shedding problems I
just mist more and they eventually get it.
