That's a wonderful picture! What a goofy gecko. Before I opened the picture file I 
thought you might be dealing with a gecko that lays adhesive type eggs as pictures of 
the females shows them "rotating" and positioning the eggs with their hind legs

What I've seen with my male and female leopard geckos is that the males can and do 
mimic some of the females laying behavior--particularly the digging behavior (or this 
could be a trait that both males and females share).

However, your U. milii geckos don't engage in that kind of egg laying behavior.

Is the gecko healthy in other respects?

Has anyone seen this sort of thing before?
I have another male that lays on his back and spins
a piece of sponge around with his feet!
The sponge was supposed to keep crickets from drowning in
the water dish, but the gex seem to like kicking it out
and playing with it!
