They are a really interesting gecko. Too bad no one knows for sure whta they are. How come were you not able to raise them?  I have not had any problems with mine. He eats like a pig and is still getting bigger.  Mine was incorrectly sold to me as S. doriae though, it's unfortunate.  Either way, thanks for the info.

"True" C. orientalis are much smaller being about the size as S. petrii.  This big morph is very similar to the correctly labeled species so that is why I and most other informed people refer to them as the "big morph" or some other name relating their unusual size.

I belive one lister is working on a comprehensive anaylsis to determine exactly what they are.

What ever they are, they are a cool gecko.  I wish I could have succeded at keeping them.
